Are Storm series necks interchangeable? Lately I've been questing for a new neck for my Eclipse.(severe backbow) I thought any Storm neck would fit,but someone mentioned that the Eclipse has a different scale length than a Herricane or Tornado. I happen to own a Tornado with a great neck, but lots of finish cracks. I thought of just swapping the necks. When I measure between the nut and bridge, both guitars have a 24.5" scale. Wouldn't that make them interchangeable?
Thanks,
John

John,

My Eclipse and Tornado are different.
The scale length is the same but the neck mounting and bridge position are different.
You need to measure from the nut to the body.
I think it depends on the age of the Tornado.

Is the nut to body distance the same on both guitars?
If so the necks will interchange.

Thanks AJ, Yes, It was brought to my attention that Ecplipse's are consistant, but Tornados vary by year. Not so much the scale length, but where it mounts to the body. The Tornado neck I have will interchange with the Eclipse I have.

I have a Eclpise neck, came from factory and has the original tuners on it still. It is textured black finish and still has the masking tape on it from the factory.May take a little work getting the tape off but it looks like a good neck.E-mail me if you want to talk about it. samova@comcast.net
