Location: Paris/France | And it's another Lost Art Vintage Custom Adamas !!!!
I'm so happy to share my joy with you all.
I finally gets my Custom Order this morning and she's exactly as in my greatest dream.
My wish with that guitar was to create a tribute to the Ovation brand that why I've decided to choose parts from severals O's and A's from the 40th last years.
The best acoustic and aesthetic parts to my eyes.
The specs are the followings:
- Folklore (or Country Artist) slothead plated with walnut
- 5 pieces glossy neck with FD-14 profile
- Adamas slothead walnut fretboard with Adamas I inlays
- M6 mini schaller with Paul Temp's custom walnut buttons
- Deep bowl non cutaway
- 2 knobs stereo
- 13 pieces like #47-RI epaulets
- Adamas I carved bridge
- 1 3/4 wide neck with bone nut
...and a very special color between blue and beige that's why I called her the "Bleige"...
That color is exactly what I was expected!! :)
I'm sincerely amazed by the sound of that guitar!!!
She don't kill my Adamas #0125 but she sings like no others with so many projection and a perfect balance between high, medium and bass notes.
And what to say about the playability...
She's perfect one more time!!
That guitar is a master piece from the factory and of course I'd like to thanks all the guy's from New Hartford for making so fantastic instruments.
At least, I'd like to thank Al again because he was so kind to help me to gets that guitar especially during the last 2 weeks when she was at the French customs services...
Al, you're the best !!!
I'll try to take some good shots to show you the beauty of that Adamas but before, I'd like to share this one with you. ;)
Thanks
J :)

Ah! vous dirai-je, Maman,
Ce qui cause mon tourment.
Papa veut que je raisonne,
Comme une "Martin" personne.
Moi, je dis que les "Ovations"
Valent mieux que.... Everything! |

Pick the things that you like about each guitar and combine them!

I was sure that you will love my shirt... :D
Karl, it took 2 weeks to get it since she was arrived in France...
I have to admit that I was very stressed after 10 days.
Because of the low value of the US$ vs €uro, lots of people are now buying in USA and the customs service are very "litigious".
although to me, in this photo the guitar looks smaller for some reason. Probably because I'm too fat now... :D
I'm waiting for the sun to catch the real color and beauty of that guitar.
Before to make my own pictures, here's some taken in Al's garden under the US sun.
These pics are very nice and were my first contact with my guitar before to get it!! ;)

Location: Tychy, Poland | Charlie: i bet polish Customs Office would be much slower than that.
i went to pick up my Carvin from customs office personally, after about 10 days they had it.
They told me that if i wouldn't go for it personally i'd have to wait at least 2 more weeks, until they would start working on it.
Jerome: how much did you have to pay on customs? |
