That's good that you could identify the guitar. Do you know what day of the week it is? |

I went to the Experience Music Project last Saturday. Their Guitar Gallery had a foil label Country Artist along with many rare guitars.

Location: Boise, Idaho | PEZ, back on track, why does it have a volume knob if it's a 1124? Looks just like the 73 Country Artist I had, but yours is in much better shape.
As far as the background, if you had flowering trees and Porsches in the background, this crowd would tell you to mow your grass. |

Mark, go mow your grass. Now..... |

Its vol only Preamp and Original Pat. Pickup. The factory may have retrofit it. I am thinking it may have been done at a dealer. I has 4 tiny dings in the top you have to look close to see them. It is pretty sweet and the price was right $350. It came from Guitar Center Used in California. It was real grimmy when it arrived. The string where put on real real sloppily and action was sky high 5 shims in it. I cleaned it up Used the whole Dunlop 65 system on it and put on new strings. It more $500 to $600 condition. I put on A'Addario Pro Art'e hard tension because its what the store had. Open to string suggestions. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | The 1973 1624s only had the single volume knob, so your theory makes as much sense as any, PEZ. I just missed a local 1975 1624 for $100, but it had a big crack down the middle. I decided to mow the grass before I called the guy and someone else beat me to it. Waskel and Moody have their priorities all screwed up. |
