Most of my photos are Guitar Porn, nice photos of past and present guitars.
Alot of the photos are for eBay... Photos taken to show the guitars at their very best!
Really nice photos of guitars that are long gone...
I was watching some of them go by...

My 1885 has had no other Adamas II to keep her company since.
Definately a "What was I think" moment |

Although I miss her, I have no major regrets in that Riccardo bought it for his 50th birthday present. |

Location: Winter Haven, FL | I've sold several over the years that I truly regret getting rid of. It's the reason I decided a while back that I wouldn't get rid of any more, and as such, I'm pretty careful about what I buy. Once the inspection period is over, it's here for good...unless of course it was a wheel and deal type thing that I only got with the intentions of moving anyway.
A short list of guitars I wish I hadn't parted with...
50's Sears Silvertone Acoustic (sentimental reasons)
Gibson ES-335
Gibson Les Paul
Epiphone Les Paul Studio
1991 Martin D-28
Taylor XXX-MS
Fender American Standard Strat HSS
Univox Les Paul (sentimental)
And that's without thinking about it too much. |

Location: CA | Well, I just sold a Fender Villager 12-string acoustic that I bought new in 1968. Although I hardly ever played it anymore, the thought of it not being in my closet anymore feels a bit like when my first wife left me. |

I married my bride 39 years ago today and I've spent my share of time in the dark... Glad she kept me!

Location: nashville | Never sold one, Every time I talk to a guitar player they always and I mean always talk about the ones the let get away. So I dont intend on having those regrets. I had my first1 and second ovation stolen when I was apartment liven. Wish I could remember the model numbers. The first was a blond and the second a sunburst both full bowls A/E . I replaced the second one w/ a the 91 HD 28. No renters insurance on the first but I learned my lesson. I finally replaced the 1111 sunburst a few months ago for $225.00. Added a set of gold ovation logo tuners ($35.00) and a trust rod cover, I think it is the prettiest guitar in the world and has that great ovation sound I loved so long ago. |

Location: Carle Place, NY | My first amp was a Guild Thunder II. All tube with reverb and tremolo. I traded it for a small Marshall amp in the 80's when tube amps were considered crap and solid state was the way to go. Now, it's the opposite. I recently sold the Marshall and bought a small tube amp which really is better than the old Guild, but I sure wish I still had it. |

Very nice player, and thought the backs and sides are rosewood laminates, they're STUNNING laminates. Nice straight, dark, and tight grain.
I don't have close-ups of that one tho.
It's to the right of the 12 stringer...

I really regret selling my Fender Vibrolux Reverb that I had in the early '80s. It was just one of those stupid impulse sales - I can't even remember why I sold it. |

I got really lucky. A guy about 30 miles from Nashville had them on Graigslist about 2 wk after I picked up the 1111. He had taken them from one of his ovation when the neck got broken. I wish I had done a before and after photo of it. Doesn't even look like the same git. |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | In this era of economic turmoil, I thought that I would update this wonderful thread...
I have sellers' remorse at about the time when I am packing up the guitars. I try to de-tune them down one step, but still have the strings in 'relative tune' to each other. So this gives me one last time to play with them.
I just packed-up the S771 today and sent it down the road, and that got me thinking. Cuz I am always saying to myself...
"This is a Nice Guitar! Damn! Either I am a Really Nice Guy, or Really Stupid!"
These are the one's that have left home since I first posted this thread...
Seems like they leave at the rate of about one-a-month...
(Nowhere near the Trader, but...)
I always try to think that I am always making more room for the next guitar.
And hey, I can only play so many at one time. |
