My son wrote the piece and put together a quartet of fellow freshmen for the Utah State Solo and Ensemble competition. They are unique in advancing to the state finals with an original composition. They scored a "1" which is the highest score given.

What a great professional performance. I loved the arraignments of the violins and the bass progression. I can only imagine how you feel about your son composing and winning. Congratulations and keep up updated on anything new brother.

Thanks. These kids are really talented. The strings program at their school is first rate, run by a woman who is a Julliard alum in violin.

Here's the whole Chamber Orchestra playing at the same competition.
