Look under vintage.
Three plank top, chain and grape inlay.
Someone loved to play guitar, and loved to tinker with things.
This has got to be a guitar that can tell a story.
Get to work all you Ovation researchers.
Lets start with the Serial #. |

Figuring the repairs would cost more than one of the re-issues, would it be worth fooling with? |

Location: nashville | I either like the near mint look or the slap wore out look, and this has that in spades., I would put back the orginal tuners and take what looks like sand paper off the bowl. I would have to hear it first, dont need a wore out looking guitar that sounds like crap. |

| James is right.I would put Klusons tuners back on,take the strings off, loosen the truss rod, wipe it down, remove all the tape, and hydrate the crap out of it for a month.
String it up and adjust.
Might be a gem. |
