Location: Brisbane Australia | I have a Martin D41 and Collings CJ both with endpin jacks.
I was playing the D41 the other day and the strap came off, luckily with no resultant damage.
Because the boss is larger and thinner than a normal strap button the strap is really not very secure.
Any suggestions?

Location: Sydney, Australia | Years ago (before the straploks) I saw someone with plastic doohickey that fit over the strap - you put the strap on normally, then held it in place with this clip. It was roughly similar to the plastic clips used on loaves of bread. It wouldn't be as safe as a straplok, but better than just a strap.
Or you could try this:

But I don't know if it will go over an end-pin jack.
They are pretty cheap, so I think that with a pocket knife you can make it work...
You can buy them online, or maybe find one locally... |

Location: Tennessee | I have a couple of Takamine with the end pin output jack, but maybe they've already figured it out because my strap fits very snugly on it. There's a bit more room on the output jack for the strap end to seat than on some others I've had. |
