Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | On my way to Nashville yesterday, I called Jonmark to see if we could get together after my appointments. He replied that he was playing later that night at a Writers Roundtable at a club on the outskirts of Nashville and wondered if I could come. He emailed me the web page for the venue and added that they had great food (which was correct: they did!). So, on my way back home, I took a detour and went to the gig. Lynn Langham, Doug Gill & Jonmark Stone were the songwriters performing their songs roundtable style before a nicely attended audience. Jonmark played his Adamas II 1587-5 which nicely demonstrated what a fine guitarist he is. The OP24 equipped six string filled the venue with flawless sound and allowed Jonmark's technique to be fully enjoyed. As great as his guitar skills are, his showmanship and seasoned audience skills made the evening even more enjoyable. His songwriting is finely tailored and when everything is taken together makes him alone an evening out well spent. As a bonus, Lynn and Doug also have great songwriting skills and the three together sounded really nice indeed.
I am proud that Jonmark as a member here and also to be able to call him my friend.
Thanks Jonmark! |

Location: Indiana | Kitman, I have successfully managed to avoid the big time in this town for decades. Much happier as a sideman. You can go to the market in your fuzzy slippers and it doesn't make the newspaper.
Course, I wouldn't mind big time money...
Great to see you on the mend Mike. Thanks for coming to the show. |

Jonmark, sorry I didn't know your history, and as usual I end up being an ASS. I was just happy for you playing at the song writers table in Nashville. Yeah the money would be great, but I agree with you, and a little duck tape for my mouth would help. Maybe we can get that at the store, you in your slippers and me in a BEARS jersey. Why you get the tape, I'll take the shit. :) I checked out your site, and bookmarked it. Wow, your playing, voice, and your songs are just Wonderful. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. Your new fan. Kit :) |

There is really no reason you should know who I am. And you are correct. It's an honor to be able to play out in a town with 9 zillion talents, no matter how long you're here. I don't take that for granted. And thanks for your kind words. |

Location: Indiana | The guy in the middle is Tim Malchak... an MCA/Universal artist at the time. Two self produced top 20 singles got their attention. They signed him, chewed him up, and spit him out.
Yet another reason I'm happy to be a sideman.
Funny looking Ovation.... |
