"The guitar is probably very 'collectable' to an Ovation enthusiast."

I'm assuming the word 'collectable' in quotes has a meaning I am unfamiliar with.

Gee, I kinda like it.

IF it still plays well, I bet you'd
get any extra $40-$50 a day playing that
out front of the liquor store.

It certainly appears to be a 1612, but in the pic that shows the back it appears to have Stereo electronics like the Legend Ltd. Never seen that on a 1612 before.

You have a good point, Paul. Did they ever put foil labels into 1612s, because that's what's in there? The text in the listing says it's a 1619-4 which would make it a Custom Legend (right?) but there's no abalone around the body nor a 5 piece neck. I've got the feeling it's a frankenstein.

All Ovations in the 70's had foil labels.

I agree with Temp. Looks like a Custom Balladeer. Might have been mislabeled (1612 vs. 1619) but more likely the seller either thru a mistake or intentionally called a Custom Balladeer a Custom Legend......

That must be a really early model if it was used in Hank Williams' band (since he died in 1953). Could he have meant Jr.?
