The other thread got me thinking about this.
How many have bought the same guitar more than once?
I bought back a Schecter Cowboy strat after 2 years and a Collings D-3H after a year. The rest stayed away.

I had an old Epiphone that I once sold to Dave O's brother Steve. Then Dave bought it from him. Then I bought it back from Dave. Then I sold it to someone who moved out of state, or it might still be going back and forth. I sold my BC Rich Warlock NJ to one of my students last year, and then a few months later he decided he wanted a Yamaha classical I had hanging on the wall. He traded the Warlock back to me. Now I have decided to sell it again, and another student wants to buy it. I LOVED the neck on that guitar, but now that I have my Ibanez Artcore, I really don't need another electric guitar.

I sold two guitars back in the early 90's when I needed cash and hadn't played for a few years.

One was my first rock and roll guitar, an Ibanez Flying V, the lawsuit model. Gibson wasn't making Vs anymore and Ibanez was just starting to make some nice guitars. I played it in a lot a garages and bars.

After I got back into playing a few years ago, I started looking on eBay for another V. damned if I didn't find my guitar. It had the diMarzio Super Distortion pickup I put in and all the same dings. Even the case had some identifying marks. I paid a hell of a lot more for it the second time, but I'm glad to have it back.

I still have a Strat that I have first refusal on if it ever is to be sold. That is 11 years now, I called once about 4 years ago but it is still being used.
I really want that old Rickenbacker Bass back! perhaps that will be the one I buy more than once? This Bass and my Cream & White Strat back and all will be right with the world again.
Intersting question.

I bought a '97 Collectors a few years back. Sold it a couple of years later to someone here...I forget who.

Then my wife was keeping her ear to the wind to get me a guitar for my 50th birthday 2 years ago. I was showing interest in another '97 Collectors. She got me one God bless her. Actually a lot of folks in the church chipped in to buy it.

I'll NEVER sell this one!

My '87 Collector: to a member who helped me get the funds for the '08 Collector: and then sold it back several months ago when I asked...
A tremendous sacrifice on their part: but they knew how much I liked that guitar...A true friend!
