Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | So, is there a list somewhere of the Ovation abbreviations & model designations? And what they mean? Not the numerical listings; I know how to access those.
How 'bout the Adamas monikers, i.e., CVT, SMT?
Or the off-kilter, off-shore names of relatively limited-production models?
What, specifically, does CVT & SMT stand for, and why is it significant to the construction & engineering? |

That was very helpful, albeit a bit of a mixed bag.

Location: CA | There was once a semi-famous racing sailboat named Fujimo. Most people thought it was a mountain in Japan. But the urban legend that grew was that it was an acronym for "F**k you Jane, I'm moving out."
Alas, it was only a rumor. The owner's wife's name wasn't even Jane.
But it had a pretty good run anyway.
Please note that Ovation doesn't have a premium on nonsensical acronyms. Martin and Gibson are two others that come to mind. |
