I am not a fan of the shallow bowl but I bet ProfessorBB is already drooling over this one (or probably has already placed his order through Al)!
I love these Limited Editions with only 50 or less made. Makes a great guitar that is extremely rare even better......and with Al's low serial numbers, what a deal! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I would seriously consider it, but for the SSB. Now I'm only sort of considering it. The list grows longer, but not as fast as it used to. |

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | The original 1627's had the "Artist" bowl which was slightly deeper than the deep bowl. It is more similar to the present-day mid-depth bowl than it is to the super-shallow bowl. It has also been referred to in the past as a "shallow bowl" but is still distinct from the Super-Shallow bowl. At 5-1/8 inches deep, it is more similar to the present-day mid-depth bowl.
Since this limited edition is also coded 1627, and since the 2-digit signifies the artist bowl, I imagine the tone is every bit as good as the originals, which are pretty fine sounding instruments. |

That's a little bit too far for me for the moment, but a really good idea. But first let me know the specs, I can't find them anywhere.
Thanks
Bernie
...and I hope there is not an AX behind the LTD!! |

Location: SoCal | I've got one of the 1627 reissues from 2006. Seems to be the same guitar but the new one has gold frets (very cool). It's a great guitar. Not a lot of power acoustically, but plugged in it's great.
It feels good to play and has that great Ovation look that just looks right to me.... |

I admit the mistake willingly and accept the responsibility of being the first person EVER on this forum to click "Add Reply" before my response was truly ready to publish.  |

Location: SoCal | I wonder what "abalone infinity inlays" are? I would think that adirondack spruce on a Legend would give a great warm sound. Sorry I didn't do that when I had a new body put on my old Legend neck..... |

Location: Boise, Idaho | The Adirondack spruce on my 2078LEAS still sounds a bit tight, but I have been focusing on electric guitar the past several months. Maybe I should loan it to some big guy who can wail on it until it opens up. Know anyone like that? |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Abalone Infinity Inlays are like the inlays on the '09 Koa Collectors and the '86 6&12 Collectors...sort of an elongated sideways 8...really nice looking... |
