I haved owned 2 vipers, and the most thoughtfull thing Ovation did with them is make ALL of the electronics easy to get to.
Just loosen the strings, unscrew the screw on the back, lift off the bridge assy, lay off to the side, unscrew the little picguard screws, and lift the whole thing out and on the bench, pickups and all, input jack is on the pickguard.
The more you look at the Viper,1 or 2,you have to smile when you get the point of it.
I wish Ovation had the same kind of people now.
If they Re Produced this same guitar, put it up against all the Les Pauls,Teles,Strats, and anybody else who had the balls, this thing would put them to shame.I know,I have seen it.
I took my Viper 3 to my guitar freak friends house, played it with his 1500$ Strat, traded off, same amp.His Strat came off weak and cheap compared to this thing.
Get them while you can guys.
That is all
