It is all custom-order.

What did they think would happen?

BTW-- No more Adamii at Apple Music in Portland either...
There was always one or two at good prices.

Catalog? What's a catalog? Oh, that's right. How quaint. Does anyone read those anymore?

Drag your aging carcass into the 21st Century and try this:

Musician\'s Friend WEBSITE for Ovations

It's marketing. I suspect not many of Ovation's target market are catalog readers, so it would be a waste of money for Fender to buy advertising space in the MF or any other catalog.

Catalogs have their place.
And that place is in a little wicker basket right next to the.... ummmmm... thinking throne.

Haven't seen ads for "O's" in many guitar magazines lately either. Oh, that's right - "Acoustic Guitar" is about it for acoustic guitar magazines.

*sigh!* God, I miss "Guitar World Acoustic." And "Frets..."

Now that I'm back in the workshop, I can make you a wall mount for your iPad and you can replace your wicker basket altogether.

Once installed, the iPad sits flush with the wall. A retractable flexi-Shaft allows the iPad to be pulled out and positioned for optimal hands-free reading. Your iPad can provide unlimited access to online catalogs and unsubscribing from all those paper catalogs will help reduce your carbon footprint.

I haven't seen an Adamas in a store in almost 10 years. :(

But, I see 3 of them on my wall everytime I enter the mancave! :D

Slow day at work.
Sent just a few minutes reading some Musicians Friend reviews.
Of the few I read, I came across 3 that gave glowing reviews, then, when asked if the use the item they answered.... "no".

Here's the new Ovation french ad found in a music shop's catalog a week ago.
Believe me or not but there was not an Ovation guitar for sale in this catalog!!
Fortunately, some Ovation models produced in Asia are available on their online shop...

On the other hand MY local guitar store now stocks 2 - 4 Ovations (US & Asian...they're ALL imports here ;) ) at any one time. Never before, but they're a Fender authorized dealer.

The independent guitar superstore in San Jose has a pile of Ovations pretty much across the line, when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Last time i was in there before i saw them sell a woodtop Adamas and a new 1687. The store also had a lot of Guilds from New Hartford, which compete with ANYthing in the store. They carry all of the majors, but seem to have a particularly good relationship with the KMC people, so they have lots of KMC product line. They also had an early Legend that was very nice for sale at a fair price, if anyone is interested. It's a good one.
