I wasn't really suprised by T's set as much as I was impressed.
When we get together we play in living rooms or at a hap-hazard open mic. I think the set-up, mood and mojo of the Guthrie gave us a good chance to show the best we could do.
Again... well done. |

The Guthrie had that "time warp back to the late 60's vibe" to it. With the long hair, buckskin fringed boots, and the hippie-chick girl friend, Jason was a page right out of the 60's. And the camera adds about 20 lbs to the kid. He couldn't have been more than 140 lbs.
He definatly has a style. |

That's the secret to the sound (along with having an excellent sound man at the house mixer)!

Al (one of the site owners/moderator) whose video will be featured in the upcoming days, can get you an Adamas or Ovation at a great price.
As a matter of fact almost all the Ovation/Adamas guitars you see in the various videos probably were acquired through Al.
He ships worldwide all the time to our overseas OFC members.
The guitar Bob is playing in the first video is a Takamine with Madagascar back and sides and an Adirondack top. Al is also an authorized dealer for Takamine. |

If it was a closed event I suppose I could have simply been delivering some chinese food and just happened to bring an Elite with me... |

There were more than a couple of performers who wandered in off the streets....the pizza guy, the girl who lived across the street, the son of a guy who used to play with Glen Campbell....pretty crazy to say the least.
It actually started out as those of us who were attending the GUILD open house since OVATION open houses seem to be a thing of the past. This allowed a lot of us to see the factory again and even though it was primarily for GUILD, we still saw some Ovation stuff and obviously a lot of familiar faces.
Since it also happened to be a chance for some of us to help celebrate Beal's big 6 0 birthday, the Guthrie Center bash was thrown together. |

Happy belated Bday to Beal! |
