Location: Seacoast NH | Finally got a chance to play with the A2 I got for Christmas. Its nice to see Ovation getting some love as one of the guitar models available in the settings along with Gibsons, Martins, Nationals, etc. First thing I noticed was the preset patches for "Adamas" and "12 String Ovation". Very cool! |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | It is the primary unit on my pedal board and covers 90% of what I do. I built 12 presets in the A patch which I use exclusively to cover the acoustic effects spectrum. The unit is bullet proof and has never failed me in six hours of use every week for the past four years. Only one issue . . . it can generate noise, so you may want to become acquainted with the noise reduction/limiter adjustment when building your presets. Have fun! |

Location: Seacoast NH | Thanks Professor! Spent most of last night just reading the manual and marking the list of preset patches with the ones I liked. I definitely plan on learning all of the bells and whistles and the ZNR settings. Glad to hear about it's reliability. We just booked the first gig I will have played in 10 years for early March, and I'm hoping to get through it unscathed! |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | You'll like it. I meant to say that my presets are all custom reconfigurations based on adjustments made to a number of the 40 built-in presets, with heavy emphasis on the two Martin models. Customizing the presets or even building your own from scratch is relatively intuitive once you get the hang of it and figure out which base presets you want to start with, if any. Even if you don't have a need or desire to create custom configurations, just rearranging those presets that you do use over into the A patch will save you time and frustration when you need to quickly change presets between numbers. With one exception (the wah effect), I use the expression pedal exclusviely for volume and to mute the board when necessary. |

Location: Seacoast NH | Thanks Prof. I actually got the base model without the expression pedal, but it looks like you can add a controller later. I like the idea of rearranging (and fine tuning) my preferred presets into one bank to simplify navigation during gigs. Thanks! |

I'd really like to get their latest looper. But I just don't have the time to fool with something new right now. |
