My new Standard Elite LX came today and the guitar plays great, and sounds wonderful...especially plugged in, I love the Op-Pro electronics in it.

The guitar has an increasing gap between the fretboard and the top. If it was even all the way I wouldn't question it, but this has a grade to it. Is this normal? Here's a shot...

It's normal. The fretboard is not attached to the top by design.

I'm glad you're feeling the love for that thing. I've had a love affair going with my 1778LX for 3 years now. Still my favorite player over all the rest.

Congrats! Now put the camera down, and go play your guitar! (pot calling kettle...)

I'm feeling lots of love for this guitar, this thing is sweet. I'm now looking forward to trying some other guitars from the Ovation lineup.

Ahhhh, yes. The old, "Shut up and play yer guitar." :D

I'll try to keep the pics to a minimum. ;)

Kevin,
No problem, we like pictures! So really, it's more like "stop worrying and play your guitar." And post some pics of the whole thing this time!
