Tuner Question

I received an 1711-4 ('93) with a chrome set of Pings on it. I do have an 'O' set I can put on the git if the Pings are not original. The headstock 'footprints' are clear and clean with no evidence whatsoever of another tuner type being used. So who else has a first year 1711 with Pings?
