Location: UK | Well I got my 1537 in November but then i spent the next 2 months looking for my camera which someone has surely hidden , the next month i spent trying to remember the pin number of my credit card which i had deliberately forgotten as it is still melting under the furnace of outstanding debt on the obscenely expensive larrivee i bought , i then bought a new camera and spent the next month staring at the 300 page instruction book , then i had to wait 6 weeks for a sunny day to take the pictures and then i just didnt get round to posting them
Puppy is about to learn what "Nooooooooooo " means
Totally love the guitar ,thanks again Woz, gets played every day |

Location: Brighty in Blighty | Thanks - a good price - theres one on Ebay for $900 at the moment...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220240274...
I'm tempted but at $900 perhaps it's too much - yours looks in 100^% condition!
I play finderstyle not strumming so perhaps a 1537 is more suited to strumming? |

Location: UK | I dont find that and i play both styles , the tone is so rich and i find it dead easy to play , think i was very lucky getting mine for what i did , i think trader jim sold his at around about the same time for the price yours is on at , as i said on other post if it got stolen i would replace it ( on credit card !) for $900 without hesitation
Go on , you know you wanna |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I paid more than $900 for mine and it was worth it. I always seem to buy at the height of the market, though. They are very easy playing, mellow guitars, so they are perfect for fingerstyle. That's all I've played on mine. |

Andrea, curse you! If I hadn't seen your lovely guitar I think I might have just about got away with buying anymore Os. I really hope mine is as good looking as yours. As for tone well I trust the collective wisdom of the members of this board.... |

Was your restored or something? |

Your purchase also came with the Adoption Agency's Limited+™ Lifetime Warranty which includes electronics package upgrades at cost.
Your new 2-Knobber preamp kit has been in stock!
Moody upgraded his 1537 and says it was worth it. He even installed it himself. |

Location: SoCal | Mark adopted his 1537 from me.
Moody adopted his first '87 Collector from Tony and me.
Tony and I used to adopt and adopt-out a lot of guitars... thus the joke about the "Adoption Agency".
"Limited+™ Lifetime Warranty"... just a joke warranting the work I did on Mark's guitar.
"new 2-Knobber preamp"... we bought a handful of new 2-Knobber preamp setups for replacements in our 1537's and to have a couple local spares. |

Location: Brighty in Blighty | Maybe I'm worrying unneccessarily but it looks like the neck is coming away from the body.
Also I think the fret board needs some oiling... |

Part of the reason the 1537 has such a supperior sound is the "floating" freatboard, in other words the fretboard extension south of where the neck joins the body isn't glued to the top. It's thought that allows more of the top to vibrate, producing more/richer volume and tone.
Fretboard needs oiling? So what? Routine maintenance.

Location: Boise, Idaho | I just got back to these posts and noticed Noah's. An old friend from college was visiting. The last time I saw him I had just bought the 1537 and he had just bought a Taylor. I did way better. Since then I've gone a bit crazy, so he didn't have much chance to play them all. The 1537 plays as well as any of them. The neck is starting to show some wear, though. That might be an indication of how much I play it vs. the others. As far as the electronics upgrade, Bruce, I'll pass. I notice a difference between the old one and the new of the OFC, but I never get around to plugging any of them in. Maybe I'll start taking all the preamps out. |
