Just wondering if I should add this to my collection. What would be a good price?
Where they 'dogs'? |

Location: ms | I had one and it was the best collector and maybe the best Ovation I`ve ever had.It was mint and I gave $700.00 US for it about seven years ago. I still miss that guitar. |

Location: Brighty in Blighty | I just wonder what the state of the guitar actually is, the pics are pretty bad!
Again don't be a SWINE and bid against me as as far as I can tell I'm the first to annouce it here :-) |

Location: Brighty in Blighty | Hmm, the 92C on the O site looks very different to the 'Bay one - did they all have the same overlays, i.e. red? Also the O site lists the amp as being a 24+, but this is a 24.
Hmm.... |

If you don't want competition at the 'slop trough', then don't holler "SOUIEE!!!"
If you want an item, chances are that there are others that want it just as bad, if not more so, than you do. How deep are your pocket$?
If you seek info on an eBarf or Craigslist item, be discreet in your inquiries on-line.
If you find a desired item and it's 'under the radar', then don't tease your possible competition.
If you find a deal and you don't want it, then by all means, clue us all in!
Granted, this forum/family will probably back off and not compete with you. But that does not mean that there aren't other non-participants that visit here for info. Google has a very effective 'nose'!
Good luck! |

Location: Scotland | Tamo Ash (probably ply) top on an SSB body. I've played several and they all sucked as acoustic guitars. If you need something to plug in and can deal with the gay epaulettes, go for it, but you'll be amazed at how your '84C sounds acoustically much better than it has a right to, and how an ostensibly similar guitar can comparatively sound so mediocre |

A very good late friend of mine used to have a great saying and its approiate here: "no matter what, He planned to be the "tallest Hog at the trough"; having raised hogs as a youth, I know exactly what he meant...
I passed on a guitar today because of a situation like this: I tried to do the right thing and let the member win the auction even though I wanted the guitar: after an opening bid which lasted 6 days, the guitar sold for $50 over the open and not to the member: I was shocked!...
I gotta go along with 2ifbyC here: if you want it, bid high and bid often! And if you want it: keep it to yourself...and remember: there are other bidders on eBay besides the OFC... |

I did win a good sunburn though ;) |

Location: Brighty in Blighty | Fair comment 2ifbyC. I think in future I'll bring any EvilBay item that interests me to the attention of OFCs just cos they might like to know also, I'll warn them I'll be bidding if I intend to. I don't mind if they bid or win - at least if they / I know then hopefully we wouldn't bid against each other costing one of us a higher price that it needs to be.
As usual some love this guitar others don't, but I reckon its at least worth bidding for if I can get for little $ just to see what it's like - can always sell on. |
