I've been trying to grab a Deacon or Breadwinner from ebay and am not having any luck (but I'll keep trying). Anybody out there have one you'd like to part with? I have a Viper I really like, but I'd really like to relive some 70's experiences with a Deacon or Breadwinner.

Thanks!

You just missed a couple of nice ones that sold for around $400 on Ebay.

What price are you trying to pay?

To "score" a Deacon or Breadwinner in decent shape expect to pay $400 and more. They have been showing up fairly regularly with every 5th one being "nice", 2/5ths being "adjusted".

I scored a black one with modified PU's not too long ago. Check the gallery! Will launch a Viper this weekend maybe!

Yeah, I saw the ones on eBay. I was going to use the Buy it now for $400 on the white one, but I hesitated,,, and lost. Price I'd pay depends on shape. But $400 seems like a good deal on a nice one.

I don't mind spending more for a nice one. I just want a nice guitar. Something that plays good, has electronics intact, etc. Some of the ones I've seen have been on the rough side. Could you please reply with details on your axe or email me if you like.
Thanks!

There was a Deacon on eBay a couple of weeks back that sold for $700. I think that's about the going price for a good one that's unmodified, and probably too cheap IMHO.

Designzilla,

I have a Deacon-6 which on a 1 to 10 scale is probably a 7.5. Price is $500 and I'll post pictures and descriptions in my album under guitars for sale. I bought it for a "Project" and wanted only the neck for a "Bluebird" replica. My Bluebird-12 replica is taking a whole year to have built so I'm dropping the idea.

George :)
