I bought a country artist new in late '81 early '82 with the hard shell case. It is in mint condition. Model is 1624 and srl# is 261704 Today is Jan 4 05 and if you have been watching ebay for the last few days, you would have seen a 1674 C.A.cutaway hitting the $762.00 mark with soft case. I talked to the Ovation company and I do realize that the 1674 if more rare, so I was wondering what my 1624 in like new condition might be worth as I am going to post it on ebay in a few days?

Welcome to the site Barry!

I just picked one up off ebay (hopefully waiting at home tonight) that has some blemishes. at $175 I scored. I was ready to go around $230.
1624

In pristene condition go no lower than $330 and with the right timing and audience I'm guessing $500 is possible.

As always ebay is a fickle mistress. Start with a $1 opening and set your reserve where you are comfortable.

That's my opinion.

Woodrow has pretty well nailed it.

I've got a 1674 and while I'm happy to see the price of them going up, I can't imagine ever selling mine regardless of the price.
