I would like to see the price around $700 myself. |

Location: Fayetteville, NC | Mr. Adamas is correct. It is not the Custom Elite Model, Though it May have been a custom/Special order. In that respect it's custom, but that's all. My guess is that the seller just chose the wrong wording. Nice Ovation! I'm not sure I'd pay the buy it now price though. |

Location: Wisconsin | I have this guitar. It is not a custom guitar, but it is somewhat rare. They made them for 2 or 3 years in the early '90's. I bought mine on fleabay recently for just over $400. My guitar has a few dings though and I got a pretty good deal so if you like the guitar, it is definitely worth more. Now, as for the cedar top -- it sounds wayyy sweet. I have another 1768 with the spruce top, and there is a big difference. I wouldn't say that it is better or worse, just different. Deep bowl + cedar top = nice sound. Hope this helps. |

| ..sure, but i doubt the 1537 will stays where it is now, with all the early bids the seller will let it ride for a while...

| ..thanks for the info steve, 4 days left, no bids yet...maybe still a little high for a 1768, but it's a one owner, in great shape, unique top, so we'll see, might give it a shot...

My mistake I had thought it had been relisted Sorry
A Music Dealer In my Home town has a New (Non FRG) 2003 collectors edition I've been looking at. He just seems high with his asking price of $1100. This looks very similar. |

| hey tex, it was listed once before, and this last time was the relist; there were no bids either time, so it will be interesting to see if he lists it again for less...it would be a nice model to have considering the cedar top...
