Hello all
Just got myself a ovation 2071 ultra (absolutely love it), and found your forum shortly after. Can't wait to search thru the site.

Welcome.
I like the Ultra models, too.
I'd take one over a Celebrity any day.

I have only been playing for just over a year, so I pick songs that are easy, but to answer your question I like all the music I grew up on...60,70 and country. Yes I am old, but I am keen.

Good on you, sard! There's a lot of us around this board that are in the same boat as you. You'll find a big percentage of OFCr's have taken (or re-taken) the guitar up in the last year or two. The Ultra you got is a really good guitar for where you are in your development ... I know it will help you get to the next level. If you need advice, or chord charts, or input, this is the place to be. Don't be shy to ask - you'll find a lot of people here that love to help others enjoy their guitars!

P.S. They'll also help you spend your money on more and better guitars! :)

Welcome aboard, sard. bobbo's absolutely right - many of us have taken it back up after a, aHEM, little time off. Feel free to make friends here and you'll get more than your money's worth - there's experience, talent and, if you catch it just right, even some spots of wit. There are gatherings of players and beginners all over the place which you can attend if you like and meet some incredible people, play guitars that you would never have the chance to even see otherwise and learn more than you would playing on your own.

Stick around, take your shoes off and and watch out for the GAS attacks - they're KILLAHS!

(By the way, watch out for the banjo and uke players among the crowd. They bite. ;) )

Welcome, Sard, from a couple of hours north of you. This is a great place.

Congrats on the Ultra, enjoy it. And don't be concerned about the age thing. You certainly wouldn't be out of place in an OFC group photo!

***WARNING***, be carefull here; some of these guys are a real bad influence, unless you have lots of money and lots of space to store the results of GAS. :)
