| Hey fellow O fans. I just listed the pride of my collection on ebay, my 5868 ASW. It's in PERFECT condition and worth checking out if you're in the market.

Thanks for posting that you added it. Now I only feel dumb. |

Location: Toronto | T28 might not - but since I got his 5858 I think I need to have this as well. What a beautiful matching set... Seems like I have an auction to follow - and with a little bit of luck and good timing, my wall will be adorned by with a matching set!!!

Location: Toronto | It's true isn't it... I'm not a professional musician so why on earth would I need more than one guitar. To be honest, I can't really answer that question very convincingly so I just try that "this will be the last one dear - promise".
Yup - that don't work neither!!! |

Location: Toronto | The best explanation or justification for more than 1 guitar is quite simply the truth. Every guitar sounds and plays differently and you do something new or different when you play a variety of guitars, thus you are improving your skills and creativity. Now that in turn makes you a more content and fulfilled person which makes you a better husband. Now get out there and buy those damn guitars. |

Ask those wives why they need more than 1 pair of shoes, or purse or dress. They all cover the same so why more than one?
PS....let me know their answer when you get out of the hospital :D |

Successfully?

Location: Boise, Idaho | My wife actually said, while we were talking about some friends' divorce, that I could collect guitars or Porsches if I didn't collect wives. She later denied the Porsche reference and now has forgotten the statement entirely.
I tried to trade an anniversary necklace that I got her, expecting she'd get me the Legend (for only $300) that I told her about. That's when I heard I didn't need any more guitars. I didn't tell her she didn't need any more necklaces. Hence we are still married. |

| Designzilla... Char concurs with your spouse as well. she'd "rather buy a guitar rather than have to kick my A**"(direct quote from the boss)., works for me...
"Love one woman,... Many Guitars!!!!"

Location: Orlando, FL | My wife is great! If anything she is too supportive. When I'm checking out guitars online, she always says - Ooh, that's nice you should buy that one! Unfortunately (financially that is), I have one kid in college and might be putting another in private school, so I know what the budget is! |

| I guess I should rename the post "how to talk your wife in to buying a new guitar"! ;) LOL. Well, if anyone actually has a question about the GUITAR , let me know. :D
I am enjoying the post though. |

I can only go so high before having to 'splain to the wife anyways, and how did that saying used to go.."Its curtains for you Mugsy". Funny, when I was single that saying was "The name is Elmer J. Fudd,Millionaire,I own a mansion and a yacht." |

There has been a spate of these ASW showing up in the last 3 months or so but I remember when the first one showed up about 6 months ago. Big discussion because no one had really seen one before.
Grab it before they become scarce once more! |

How does the Elite line sound and feel in comparison to Custom Legends, particularly older Legends? |

If my daughter would just drop out of college, it would free up lots of guitar money! :D
I love the Angel Step, and I NEED a 12 string, and an Adamas, and, and...
SIGH... :( |

Location: Tennessee | How about trying this one out ... trade one of your guitars to Guitarzan for the lovely Maine vacation with your wife, and then while watching the late evening fall over the Boothbay Harbor wistfully mention how nice it would be to sing some love songs on a 12 string. Guaranteed it will be her idea to buy whatever it is you are lusting after ... guitar that is. |

Thanks again for sending the original post on this in response to my wanted post, I appreciate it. Unfortunately I won't be able to bid on it. I just put a second mortgage on my soul with my wife (back to that thread again...sorry) and bought the 1984 Collector's that was on E-bay.
I still can't believe I won it on my very first e-bay usage, and at the fair price of $400 to boot :D
Take Care,

Location: Boise, Idaho | Sorry I got this thread so far off base. Sounds like a lot of us are in the same boat, though. Just got the bill for the first semester--$9000, after deducting a $7000 scholarship. Good thing she didn't get into Harvard. Same day as the air conditioning guy said we need $1200 to fix the car. Only 106 here yesterday and we decided to just go through the rest of the summer without AC. It's the same daughter's car, so she has to scrimp somewhere. |
