Location: closely held secret | Here we have an "Ovation Custom Shop" (hmmm... I was just there - I don't remember seeing a 'custom shop'...) S/S Elite LX .
NEW! RARE! HARD TO FIND!
FRG s/s Custom Elite C868LX.... $2000???
Is it just me, or does that seem a little high? |

Location: Central Florida | I'm not totally sure about this, but didn't Ovation recently discontinue (US made) super shallow bowls? That might explain the "custom shop" designation. If that's an FRG, then yes, I think $2000 is a bit high, IMHO.

Location: closely held secret | Mandoweb has them new for $1099. That sounds about right. |

Location: SoCal | The jacks on the guitar are on the back, not in the new position by the endpin. That might explain the "custom shop" designation. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Paul, All SS guitars with 1/4 and XLR outputs have jacks located on the back. The circuit card that houses the jacks is too big to fit on the end pin area of a SS body. Dave
PS - Yes I also think $2000. is a tad high, but I hope he gets it. Very nice guitar. And I have bought from BB in the past and he's a pretty nice dealer. |
