So WHY would a smart guy like myself ever sell such a great instrument, you may ask? Well the answer is simple - I have ordered another one just like it with a "few" extra features. As much as I'd like to, I just can't possibly keep both.
This guitar was purchased brand new from Al. It's not an frg or anything like that. It's first quality all the way and the very top of the Ovation line. The workmanship is stunning, as is the sound and playability. There is NO WAY would would not be thrilled with this guitar.

| There's lots of purdy colours and lots of purdy shapes, but be honest folks - isn't that EXACTLY how an Ovation is supposed to look?
The only acoustic guitar that takes your breath away in black.
Fantastic. I'd buy it, but I've got one (tho not with the contour bowl...)
And you'd need to spend 100% more to get an Ovation that sounds 15% better.
(Is this all right Dave? Did I miss anything?) |

It Ovation had a mix and match online order capability and 12 more Luthiers to back it up they would get a lot of attention. It would change the current production scheme - and probably not for the better - but it would open up a market area.
Very nice Dave! |

Woody, Ouch that hurt. I have two Carvins currently and have had two others in the past (I tend not to collect too many guitars). While I have detected an occassional minor flaw, I still think their electrics are a superior "bang for the buck" guitar. I know I am a novice, but I have played Fenders and Gibson's that were three times the price and did not exceed the quality.
That said, I have a Carvin Cobalt C850 that is much nicer than the stuff Martin and Taylor sell for $1300 or so. But I also conceed that when it is time to get in front of people, it is the OVation 1537 that comes out.
Carvin customer service is quite poor (and don't get me started on their amps), but I sure like their guitars. |

| Ohhh Man That guitar wore me down. So I had to ask a couple of questions to Dave before I put the blinders back on!
GAS
You always have it, somedays it's just dormant or distracted by the important things, like Life! Other days .....well you know

Location: SoCal | Whoever buys this guitar is going to get a great instrument. I know the history of this guitar and I know why Dave's selling it. It has nothing to do with the guitar itself. When he says that a guitar is in perfect shape, count on it.
I know somebody here's going to buy this and be very very happy that they did. |

| Hey This looks an awful lot like the one I had to bid on in the bay and looking good.
Dave there are a couple of nice ones running this week? Sometimes when I had looked for one I noticed there were none or maybe one or two of the shallow bowl CL's from a dealer.
Your is the nicest of the bunch Good luck!
