Ok, just letting you know.
I have one, a great one with the round sound hole.
Love it so much I'm hanging on to it.
But if I find another ......

When I was looking for information the only ones I could find had epaulets. Bought it anyway and have not regretted it. I'm a bit of a traditionalist [old fogy] and prefer the Legend style. I'll look out some pictures.

they made both styles.

remember that redwood is very sensative keep the strings slacked when you don't play it and keep the humidity level correct and you will have no problems

otherwise beware of flying bridges.

this has to be my all time favorite guitar

Hi Alpep,

what would you say would be tolerant levels? I'm in the UK so we don't really have really high levels like some parts of the world. I guess the lows would be caused by central heating.

I received the warning from Kim and Al when I got my 2001...basically, it was that when you finish playing, detune. Obviously, not a guitar to drag around to gigs in hot or cold weather.

Yet, in San Diego, no problem - kept at 440 w/Adamas 1818's (light).

I had heard the same about cedar and I have had no problem with the cedar tops either.

Good old Adamas, tough as nails. Where else in the world of possessions do you find that the top end of the market is the toughest? Expensive wine glasses crack if you speak the wrong way in their presence, expensive mobile phones and PDAs have big fragile screens that break under the slightest bit of rough handling, whereas the cheapo phones will bounce down 20 concrete stairs without any noticeable damage (after you re-assemble it). Plasma TV's break without being dropped, etc.
