Location: Latitude 39.56819, Longitude -105.080066 | MrDano....it would make a great match with a certain ASW 12 string :D It just never gets played. I have had it out of the case maybe twice in the last year. It needs to be on display and played. Probably the best looking guitar that Ovation has ever made.
Paul, I think so but I have not had it out in about 4 months. If one of our experts doesn't jump in with an answer, I will check when I get home. |

And Australia is "Down Under".
What is so complicated?
Any more Geology questions? |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Congrats, Dano. It is a beauty. And I checked the map. Toronto is almost straight east of me, but Colorado is way down south. When I moved out here from Iowa the locals said I came from back east somewhere. My geology used to be pretty good, but I'm out of practice. I hope none of our friends from other countries get confused by this thread. |

I am a collector but one that plays what he collects. Some guitars are just meant to be shared. I still have memories and photos of some amazing guitars that are now loved and played by others.
LeStrange, check out my gallery and let me know if you see something you want. I will be moving some more guitars in the very near future and your needs might influence my choices......only a few untouchables.....FD14, 1719CM, 1688, 1547, Limited 6 and Deacon 12..... |

Sorry, nothing to do with Dano....though I did hear he wears women's underwear while ordering crullers from Tim Hortons at midnight... |

Location: Latitude 39.56819, Longitude -105.080066 | Yeah.....I had my second thoughts....but then I thought about the owners that let their FD14's go. If they had not been kind enough to cut them loose, there would be a lot of us without one today.
I just hate to think about all the great guitars tucked away in someone's storage bin or under the bed. Guitars need to breathe and be played.
I know that Dano will give it a good home and play it a lot. Plus it give me an excuse to drop by if I am ever in Toronto again :D |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Interesting comment about the heater. I have a custom guitar that was just recently completed at the factory. Not "the" factory, but another factory in a cold northeastern state, you know the one. Anyway, it's killing me because the guitar has been done for 3 weeks and is just sitting there! They have strict shipping rules where they look at the forecast for the guitars intended route and will not ship until the temperatures are above a certain point. The guitar has to ship from this cold factory up to an even colder shop near a freezing lake and then finally to me (in 70 degree sunshine). I know, some guitars are so brittle that they have to do that kind of stuff and take precautions, blah, blah, blah. And even though it is killing me to know that my guitar is ready and just sitting there, it is somewhat conforting to think that a company actually plans to this degree of detail. Well, it's not exactly like they are doing it for free ... |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I tried that. Shipping from the dealer to me overnight is no problem (and already arranged), but shipping from the factory to the dealer is a hastle for reasons I don't understand. But that's the way they do things. After 7 months waiting, a few more days (or weeks) doesn;t really matter all that much. Dave |
