Not sure difference in models except ds768 not available new. Neat feature about Korean longneck is cross brace AND 4 small laminated strengtheners under bridge are not there! This adds to already rich resonance/sounding board and sustain. Can the same be said of the ds778 or ds768? Thanks keysongs@msn.com

USA made is always a better built and sounding instruments although the Korean models are nice for the money.

I have a DS768 available. Look at the pics in my gallery.

The DS768 was a deep-bowl. The DS778 is a mid-bowl. I have never played the korean longneck (DCS247S), but I have played the DS768 and it ROARS like a lion with deep sustain and presence...serious instrument. Tune it down and it's excellant for rhythm, or tune it up, capo it and it's fingerpicking good, as they say..

I found a DS768 with the Optima, XLR, Deep not the Mid of the DS778.

This one does have guts.

I might be vulnerable.
