If my wife's Christmas present of the Porsche Driving Experience in Portland falls through, a U681T may replace it. Not sure that a B stock is worth the savings. Otherwise, I've got to get another job or win the lottery or my daughter has to get another scholarship or something. |

You could always buy it, check it out, and return it if it was really F**(^ed up. Can't be too many of these left around. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | If those were my only payments, I could afford lots more than that. My wife "discovered" $2400 she had in an a checking account she forgot about. I was waiting for her to ask what I thought we should do with it, when she told me she cleared the account and sent it to University of Portland for part of next semester's tuition. That covered a few weeks.
Yesterday, after a $500 car repair we got the "good" news that the repair of the water damage that caused our ceiling to collapse may be less than $500--that's the amount of our deductible. These thousand dollar days are killing me. |

| On the bright side - if you bought a B U681t you would have the second best guitar in the world and it would sound just the same as the best guitar in the world. |

Blues, isn't this the same guy you got your 1681 from? If it is, I would do the same drill as before! ;) |

I may have to sell one of my other guitars, but it would not be right to see it go so cheap. So if you are thinking about it....better get with the program and bid it up so that I am not tempted any more. You will RUIN my Bass budget if you allow this to stay at that price...new or not. |

The guy has 100% feedback with over 60+ transactions and he has sold Ovations before (including some to OFC members). If something was fishy, we would have heard about it from prior buyers who frequent this board. |

Could be worse, the 1537 could have sold.
Good luck to all thos with an eye on this UTE. I bought my Adamas 1681 from this seller. What I purchased was a MINT 23yr old guitar. The seller is a performing musican in western NC who plays Adamas guitars.
Bid with confidence. |

So...Waskel, if it's worth $400 to you today, what would it be worth after I ship it back to the mothership for a complete refurb? Say...oh around $450?
I tell you what....maybe you send me that sweet little Adamas you just bought and the $400 and I will give you a good interest rate on the note for the difference. Deal? |

At $1226, it should be a pretty good investment, no? |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I won't bid against you guys. And Jeff, if I can convince my wife that an Adamas is a different brand, you should be able to convince yourself that it doesn't violate your self-imposed Ovation limit.
The Ute is a 12 fret, wide neck, carbon fiber, slothead. It's nothing like the 1537. As you can see, I've already worked out all these arguments for my wife.
Of course, Waskel needs a 1537 if you can't win the argument with yourself. |

I suspect that tonight, it will ring up a bit higher. I am not excited that I have to pay by Cashiers check or MO to avoid 3.5%, and the part about the buyer dealing with insurance claims when UPS doesn't even allow that I don't think, is somewhat of a gamble, but looks like he packs stuff good so hope it works out. |
