| Hey guy's just checking in like I usually do before I take a plunge. I really need a second guitar to leave alternately tuned on stage. And I need it soon. I will be buying something within a week..... I have a great Legend I bought from one of our own last year. Tobacco burst. It is in perfect shape but has no electronics #1117. Deep bowl, has the sound I want but need to plug in.
I will be selling this one and I am going to let my Ultra GS go as well. It is all white again beautiful used condition with all chrome hardware. I have photo's of these in my section? I will be asking fair prices. Figure $250 each? Both have hard cases.
Let me know if you have a nice Legend with updated electronics either a Custom or standard as long as it is a deep bowl. I love all the Ovation colors but am partial to the natural for this one. Thanks Guy's

Location: Anchorage, Alaska | I've been seriously thinking about putting up for sale my 2004 Black 1769 ADII and/or my 2005 1778T-RF Elite-T Flame both are in mint condition. That "flame" belongs on the stage! It is the USA flame with the paint that goes all the way around the guitar. I need to sale one or both of these as the doctors bills for this heart "thing" are really starting to come in. Do you have any intrest in either of these? Check my profile for photos. Let me know... email:

| Wow Steve nice price on the legend. I'll email ya tonight. And Mark Yes Yes ! These old GS's are really nice players considering they were a cheaper guitar in the day. That Body is heavy but it makes them sound good! THe neck is so close to my old strat and it looks like one so much...If I close my eyes. Well you know.
I will need to run these on "the auction site that will remain nameless" soon. But both of these guitars are very clean and any member would have fun with these. I'd love to see them sstay here, If you have someone learning guitar or?? This acoustic only legend had absolutly fantastic acoustic guitar sound.

I am interested in your Legend and have emailed you. (Or attempted to...I recieved an error message, but have skimmed over the boards and apparently you still receive them?) If you have not received an email/pm from me, please email me if you have a moment at ovationmsb@yahoo.com.
Thanks so much!

Location: austin, tx | p.s. I did just join the board, but have been lurking for quite awhile now. My boyfriend is a musician and also bought a Legend over 10 years ago which he loves. (I do too...it's what made me want one so badly!) It is still in fantastic condition. He's going to be giving me lessons and I've been looking for a great guitar to make learning a wonderful experience. He and I are both huge music fans, and hugely respectful of our guitars. I just want you to know that you wouldn't be selling it to someone who doesn't fully appreciate such a great guitar! |

| Well now firedancer.... How could I not sell this to someone with such an honest need for just such a guitar. I will email you at your address in a few minutes Sorry for the dealy I was at practice and just got home. You will be happy to know this guitar is in the same almost perfect condition as it has been sonce it was made. It has gone through the hands of OFC members over the ast several years. For the price it is a perfect begginers guitar and it sounds like a much more expensive instrument. You will sell it for no less someday if you decide to sell as well. As long as you promise to add a few thoughts from time to time as a member of this site and perhaps you will offer it up in here for the members if you sell it someday, I will be very pleased indeed to see this does not go the Ebay route.
Here's my email address if you need it?
rldecker@frontiernet.net
Now is there anyone interrested in a great little crankin electric GS??
I also will be selling an odd (actually kind a rare, beleive it or not) Carlo Robeli 12 string bass this weekend? Fantastic neck and active/passive pickups and a rare flame maple top in red! Very cool looking bass... Nothing to do with this site but I thought it may be worth a mention? $425.00 for members
Thanks Randy |

| Ohh yeah and if you appreciate Music and appreciate Ovations and you have the desire to learn as much as you can about making it sound like it should then you have as much right and reason to own a good Ovation as anyone anywhere. Perhaps more...??
Don't you sell yourself short in here. We have members that range from the professional to the weekend jam to the beach party on Saturdays. And From what I hear some of these guy's are really bad! Now you will find if you have questions or just want to impress your guy with some general Ovation knowledge you ask away in here and you'll find some guy's who know more about acoustic guitars and their workings and history than you could imagine.
Welcome by the way!

| Ahhh Not quite sure why but I can't get any of the private messages to send back?? must be the move thing.. Use my home email address at rldecker@frontiernet.net
Anyone who is interested in photo's go to the member access section to the left enter and click on photo's then use the little arrow feture to select all the members names and scroll down to northcountry and click the name then hit find albums and then just choose through the different photo's in there to take a look I think I have a seperate photo for the legend.
Thanks for the interest all. Somebody buy that little GS it is a real nice electric guitar for the pprice and it has upgrades on all the knobs and pickup collars and switches. Surprisingly Great sounding little screamer once you get warmed up ! If I did not have that Deacon I would not sell this one either? Great GIG guitar.. No worries if it gets tossed to the roadie behind the amp stack! I know... I've seen me do it.. OK It was a long time ago..

Location: NW Ohio | Randy, got your Email. Figured this time of night and being the weekend your work email wouldn't get read until Monday and going through here dosen't work. Anyway, thanks for the trade offer. As you can see from the signature line, I have several deep bowl Ovations already. I just purchased another Martin and it's time to thin my herd. |

| Yeah just threw that one out. Thanks. Cash & trades are great. I think when I am cleared up with some of the sales and purchases in the next month or so I will be looking for a deep body custom legend. Did not That way I will finally be done with the acoustic guitar needs. The Ultra GS is going on the bay later today and that 12 string bass. I will hold off on the guitar for our new member until Sunday night. Love seeing a member, much less a new member, buy one of our guitars. And this one is just perfect. Very smart to buy a deep bowl by the way young lady! Most new purchases go for something like I am buying from Al. Tey are very nice but you just do not get thaty true acoustic quality these guitars are capible of unless you buy the big bowl!

| Cruster Now just what was market value again?? I am not good at this??
Now if I had a Llama with whom I could consult with I'd be better informed?? even just a guru...???
Melanie I have recieved four offers and a bunch of mail from other sources all day today. I only answered the first one so far and will go on to the next If I do not hear back from them as well. Just business. I left my email twice at your home address last night and the many postings in here to tell everyone I am selling this to you. I left my telephone number with you and frankly you could have posted a message back to me in here this morning if you wanted if the email was not going through. No worries just a guitar for sale. Lots of them just like it. So I am thinking perhaps the server you have is not working right?? Waited all day to hear from you. This guitar is back on the auction block. Anyone interested let me know..

Location: Midland, MI | LOL. Market Value, as near as I recall (it's been on the order of a decade or longer since I was a real property appraiser) was something like:
The price at which property would change hands between a hypothetical buyer and seller, acting at arm's length in an open and unrestricted market, when neither is under a compulsion to buy or sell and when both have reasonable knowledge of the relevant facts.
You'll note that the definition does not take into account the vehicle for accomplishing said transaction. ;)
Llamas, Lamas, Gurus, Brahmas, it's all the same, mon frere. |

| Seems to me it is the cumpulsion to Buy that drives this market. Right??? You can't pressure sale a guitar too well. These are a luxury item and so far I know of no one who lives in one?
So it seems to me when someone is ready and looking to buy a certain guitar.... it is "he" or "she" who has the best example and the best price and has this item displayed in the most accessible area possible that will win the day????
Now the rare guitar that is only available from one source can name it's own price and choose it's owner more closely than the rest.
My guitars, that I am currently selling, do not fit this later description no matter how eliquently I word my description. So, it is to the "Riff" and to the "Raff" where they so blindly go. But they are used to it, I have owned them for long enough to have wiped any class they once had right off.
So what was my point?? Not sure?? forgot where I was going with this???....so to recover I'll leave you with this;
.. "The Pain I am feeling is the effort I put forth, whilst I break through the wall of ignorance that surrounds me.... Alas.... so that I may free myself to embrace the knowledge that awaits me" ....
I have a new quote!
Hey you could frame this post! I did good!

| Gulfcoast?? I give up?? (518) 863-8122. This country artist needs the bridge fixed so if your interested in the Nylon strings I have the bridges to replace if you want steel strings you could go this route too? Top has a nice tounge oil finish and it is easy to put another coat on without a lot of equipment...Just needs some TLC and some time but it's all there and Fairly Cheap in this condition. Once I fix it the price goes back up.
Case and Ovation that needs fixing for $175.00 delivered.... Hows that??

| Thanks Les; Nice guitar by the way. I ended up buying a CL30 from one of our members earler this week. I am currently trying to sell a few on ebay and I have two expensive guitars for sale in here and on the Hamer site.
If I can perhaps trade the Hamer 8 string Bass for a Nice Adamas 2 6 string and perhaps some Cash or perhaps some equipment like a drum machine or roland midi pedals and or some kind a synth I'd be in fat city and I could keep my Adamas 12 string? MAn I do not want to let that 1688-7 go. But I am in the position of needing the equipment like yesterday.
Have to see what the next week brings?? We are good for the Duo stuff now. Everyone knows this is a new project and we are playing a big party for a local Millionaire who just happens to like Floyd a lot of the music we are doing. I hope we can get some other Gig's from this guy he is great in the pay department and the food will be ...well you know..we all love good food!
Les if you have a thread bump it up to the top and good luck on the guitars sale. !

| Nope Sorry. It's headed to Austrailia.
All I have left is a Country Artist that is all there but it needs the Bridge reattached. And I am still entertaining the idea of Selling ($2250) my Adamas 1 12 string. Or perhaps someone can come up with an interesting Acoustic Guitar trade & $ cash??
I still need a good set of Midi Bass Pedals. I am borrowing a set now that are pretty beat up.
I also have a custom made 8 string Hamer bass that is as expensive as the Adamas 1 but I do not think anyone here would be intersted in this.

Location: Orange County, California | Super nice Bass Randy. You need to go edit your auction. You'll get yanked for putting the Paypal fees thing in there. Add it to the shipping, call it a "handling charge" or whatever, but you need to take it out of your auction before somone nasty sees it and reports it. PM me if you have any questions ebay. My wife deals with the Ebay-nazi's all the time. |

| Really. Paypal charges me the fee's?? There are a lot of sellers who state that they do not pay the fee's at all. They will state right n the auctions that "If you want to use paypal you'll pay the fee's". All I want to do is the fair thing and split them 50%-50%. I suppose Ebay will have some rule against it somewhere...they can be pretty rediculous at times, but considering I sold my Rickenbacker Fretless, and my Gibson SG the same way with the same 50%-50% terms and they did not hassle me I have to take the chance again??
Thanks for the heads up though, I did go in and revise it a little so the print was smaller and not so many details.

| Yes, it doesn't matter that someone else is doing it and getting away with it, charging extra for PayPal purchases is in violation of eBay policy.
Like all overhead, one must figure those fees into the selling price or be prepared to absorb the hit. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Yes it is against ebay rules to charge extra to the seller for using PayPal. PayPal is owned by ebay so of course they frown on anything that encourges people not to use PayPal. BUT, it is perfectly OK to offer buyers a DISCOUNT for paying with cash, check or money order. | Hey Welcome! Glad to see you made it. THat guitar has an awful nice sound. I think it actually sounds a little better than the other legends I have. It has the solid back and no electronics inside to mess up the sound waves.. It is a nice crisp clean guitar and I loved to put it up against the traditional guitars. Even if it was not quite as good a sound against an expensive taylor or ?? when they find out it cost less than $300 they raise an eyebrow every time.
I know I bought it froma memeber and I think he told me he got it from a memeber?? So there's 4 Anyway nice to see your having fun with it and man your in trouble now. Now you'll get the GAS infection that is rampant in here!
Good luck. Randy And Ohh Yeah Welcome Aboard! Glad you made it through the new Firewall! I think if ya jst send Miles a $50 he can getcha in quick??? |
