I'm getting ready to trade in my 84 Ovation Balladeer 1861, ser # 348495. It's in very good condition.

I was wondering if anyone might have a guess as to what the value would be for this guitar.
I don't want to get taken to the cleaners on it..LOL.

I know its hard to say without looking at the guitar, but I was just looking for a ball park idea.

Thanks for any help

Big ball park. $150 to $500. Doubt you will get anywhere near the high end on a trade, though.

Trade in value also depends on the purchase price of the new item. Guaranteed you will get more if you buy a $3000 guitar than if you buy a $1000 one.

A trade will generally get you about half what you could sell it for outright. Dave
