Location: Pittsburgh | My 27 year old 12 string acoustic Picador is on its last leg. I desperatly want to buy a 12 string acoustic electric Ovation. I played a used CC165 at a local music store and loved the feel and the sound. Could have bought it for $300.00 but told him I had to think about it. I did some research and went back to buy it a couple days later and it was sold(of course).Havent been able to find one since. Lost a couple of bids on e-bay and really need to get a new guitar, preferably an Ovation. |

You will find a big difference between the overseas Celebrity models and the USA Ovations, especially in a 12 string. |

Al won't discuss pricing on the open forum.
Send him an email and see what's cooking. |

Location: Midland, MI | I concur with T28. Al is a great guy to do business with. Excellent price and, in my experience, the instrument exceeded his description of it.
True story: About a year or so ago I put an item in my blog about how happy I was dealing with Al and Lost Art Vintage and rambling on gushing with love for about seven paragraphs. Every month I get a handful of visitors who link in from Google and Yahoo searches (the search string is always: al pepiak lost art). At first I was concerned that I hadn't cleared it with Al. But, after thinking about it, I'm telling the truth and it's a positive endorsement of his business...which is why I put it up in the first place. The way I see it, potential customers are getting an honest review of Al and LA/VI. And I still think he's the guy to go to for great deals on killer instruments.
YMMV. |

I sent an email to you. |

I have seen them go between $250-$300.00 quite regularly on ebay...also USA made Pacemakers (even a sweeter guitar) for between $300.00-350.00...so keep your eyes open and good luck bro! |
