That is a good guitar, I think you would be happy to own it. I don't know the exchange rate nor the price of one of these in England, so can't say about price. I noticed he also has a Trace acoustic amp. Many on this board swear by them. If you don't have a good acoustic amp, you might want to check his amp out also.
Since he is local to you, maybe you could set up a time to go by and play the guitar and check out the amp.
Good luck

That's about $1800 US which is on the high side for the states but might be a bargain for the UK.

If the guitar is in mint condition and a 1581 (since I did not see mention of a model number), it might be a great deal...(specially if you could get him to throw in the amp for a bit more).

This is Temp, logged in at Cliff's place. That's a very fair price for that guitar in Europe. I got around that price for my SMT and this Adamas 2 is arguably a lot more desirable. The early single epaulet Adamas guitars aren't too common over here. If I wasn't committed to a 47RI I'd have this one.

Thanks for the advice. I have a newish W597 but I'd quite like an older model. Although I probably have too many guitars already.

that's a good model + nice colors at the good price....
$1800 isn't too high for this rare cutaway model.

coshamscouse... I did some work for the Southampton FC (when they were still in the Premiership). I was at a Southampton/Portsmouth match - 500 cops were in attendance. It was quite the experience for a hockey fan I'll tell ya that!

Hi MrDano,

Yes I've been to a few of those matches; both at Fratton Park and St Mary's; they certainly are grudge matches... we haven't had one this year... I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or not...
