I noticed this on Portland Craig\'s List -- black cutaway, $700. Looks like it's in good shape.

To bad it wasn't a 1598 (12 string) at that price, I would have grabbed it. Great price on a 1597 however. Rat's and my wife has been in Vancouver the last week too. Would have made a good Fathers Day gift, don't you think?

Great price. I'll be in Portland this weekend, too, but I already bought my father's day present in advance.

I'll be in Portland next weekend, and will probably check it out for myself... almost a shame my dad doesn't play guitar! :cool:

You can do like several of our members and buy your dad the guitar, "hoping" he will learn to play. After a while, he will probably give it to you. :D

My dad's birthday is tomorrow and he lives near Portland. Great idea Stephen! Also have a nephew and neice with a birthday tomorrow, but at 3 years old there's probably some chance they would take up the guitar.

Great price; wrong color for me. I might snipe the ruby graphite one on the 'bay to match my 1598.

Or I could just buy the guitar for myself, and tell my dad I did it so I can play him a better sounding song for Father's day. =)

Actually, this one is going to stay in Portland :)

And, you're all, more than welcome to come by and play it.

Should have found you when I was over there. I didn't have internet access all weekend and had a full schedule of family activities. Maybe next time.

Ain't that the truth -- thank goodness my wife needed to update her Spring Wardrobe recently. That makes it so much easier;

"What! ANOTHER guitar!??" "How much did that cost you?"

"Oh, a bit less than a couple of pairs of shoes and a new suit -- but it will last forever, and not really loose any value." "Do you have room in your closet for another case?"

Hey Mark, we'll get together sometime -- it's bound to happen. Just a matter of time :)

gh1, congrats! Looks like a beauty.

Mark, sorry I missed you this weekend. Lots of family activities going on.

Now to go heat up that PNW Gathering thread...
