Just a note about this.

There seems to be some new members and some established members that are abusing this lately.

This is the rule.

NO BUMPING....unless you have something to add.

just putting the word bump is not acceptable practice on this board.

Clear?

You ever notice how when Al tells us to stop something it is always followed with a bout of malicious verbatim compliance?

At least for the time being, this thread got the ultimate "bump" ....

Al's got it pinned to stay on top.

Hosebei,
It means not to type the word "bump" along with nothing else for the express purpose of

1) moving the thread to the top of the stack for no reason.

2) building up a post count.

Hope that helps you to understand it better.

Could we just "Hustle"?

I've always found that a great way to bump your for sale post is to add a lower price to it.

Thanks Stephent28!

So I would NEVER threaten the bump to the post account of the hustle price without stacking the lower purpose within the bump itself...never...promised!

Bumping threads is like having vanity plates. Although Moody's is pretty good (IAMADICK).

Y'know, however, for some of us (or maybe just me) who aren't concerned about our low post counts, the thread was just a fun way to interact with friends and pass the time while wishing we were at the tour.

I agree that bumping for a reason other than pure fun, or perhaps bumping more than once in a great while, or bumping for an extended period, or, as previously stated, bumping with a big fat woman should not be tolerated.

(intended for humour only. any similarities between this work of fiction and any fat girl is purely coincidental.)

It means that you type the word "bump" as the only word in your message simply as a means to move it back to the top of the topic listings.

How come this thread is still at the top of the list, when no one has 'bump'ed it, and the last post was Aug. 27?

When a moderator creates a thread, they have the option to turn on a function that keeps the thread coming up at the top of the list . . .
