I have a project in mind - and a less-than-perfect Patriot would be the perfect item.

My 30 year class reunion is this year, and some of us alumni want to do something for the music department. We were thinking that if we could get a Patriot, those of us that donate for the music department could sign the guitar and have it displayed in a case in the music department.

So.. it doesn't have to be real pretty - but it needs to be in one piece and preferably has the look of something that could get played.

We were the bicentennial class... so you can see this would be a cool item.

Hey PS - We are the same age! I was class of '76 also. We donated a jar of Planters Peanuts autographed by Jimmy Carter. Man those were some dark years. Dave

Yeah, but I'm not going. I consider school reunions the same way I do marriages - when it's over, it's OVER. No sense trying to relive the past. The girls were all good looking, us guys were tanned and athletic, let my fantasies live on ...

Wow, you guy's must be old! I graduated in '76 as well. Dave, you said those were dark years? From what I remember :) the 70's were a hell of a lot of fun!

One time, when I was driving in my Gremlin to a Frampton concert...
Oh never mind. I had fun anyway!

I guess I am on the almost ancient side having graduated in '72. Almost all good memories (the ones I remember and the way I remember them).

I'm a '76er also. Bought my first Ovation around 73-74. A Custom Balladeer. For some reason I can still remember the distinct smell it had when you opened the case.

Stephen, I got out in '72 also. Never went to any reunions, though somehow they keep tracking me down.
I was a bit of a wild child in school, with friends to match. Living a different life now, and those old relationships just don't don't have a place in it.

Waskel, I think they wanted to forget about me.

Even though several people knew my location, I never got any information or invitations to the reunions.

I questioned one of the committee people about it about 10 years ago and they claimed they had been unable to locate me.

Oh well.....not many from high school I really cared about seeing anyway.....and the few that I did care about, I still keep in touch with.

I was about the same as you in school but I still have the occassional wild hair up my ass (since they have all fallen off my head) that makes me occassionally do (or want to do) stupid things.
