| Round-back guitars are notorious for slipping on your leg due to the shape and texture of their fiberglass bowl. Finally ... there is a solution that really works !
Slip-Grip is a self-adhesive, "anti-slip" patch that eliminates the frustrating slipping motion of round-back guitars when they are played while sitting down.
If you would like more information regarding Slip-Grip, please contact me at: Slip-Grip@verizon.net

Jim, I remember several of us mentioned the "glue" issue. Was this ever addressed? |

Were you ever able to address the adhesion issue of the patch to the bowl?
After cleaning the bowl area with an alcohol wipe and geting the paper backing off the patch, it applied easily to the bowl.
The "anti-slip" surface worked, but I found the Slip-Grip Patch only partially attached to the bowl the next morning. |

| I am one of the slipgripfolkloseroftheslipgripaftertwodays.....but the hint with the hairspray was perfect.
My slip-grips (3) are sitting tight now.
All I can say is, that it works perfectly for me now. If you have the problem of losing your guitar all the time (where the hell is my legend???) give it a try and your baby will stay on your knees... |

I'd be interested in knowing what might make them stay put. |

I never heard about the "hair spray" solution either. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Hairspray has a number of uses like this. I put new handlebar grips on my bicycles using hairspray. You spray it on and as a liquid it acts as a lubricant so you can slide the grip easily on the handlebar. Then it dries just like a glue and holds the grip firmly in place.
I've never had any troubles with slipping either, but that does not mean the problem does not exist for others. 3M bathtub anti-slip tape also works well.

| Mine adheres fairly well on my '92 1767, but at times it tends to curl up a little on the edges.. |

(At least, that's what Witko tells me . . . .) |

I stand corrected. A nice segue back towards the Guitarminitrix topic  |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Rubbermaid makes a wide variety of non-skip tape and decal designs, such as fish, mermaids, kitties, etc. However they do not make daisies. You have to get the daisies from a company called FunMats.
3M makes anti-skid tape which is 3/4 inch wide and 17 inch long. Just cut it to size and stick it on.
Rumor has it that my former "life partner" Standingovation is also working on a line of anti-skid products which should hit the market soon. We can only hope his defination of a anti-skid is the same as ours.
