In one of the recent postings of my guitars, Brad asked a very good question:

Mike, Your current collection has been significantly expanded upon over the past year. You have some real beauties! Got a favorite?
I got to thinking about this again this morning when I saw that this is my 1948th post. Of course, being able to get this fine 1948 D-28 was definatly a once in a lifetime event. To live near Wayne Henderson so it could be brought back to life is also incredible. This is quite a wonderful guitar and to see its repair and restoration and to know that I was able to be a part in putting a piece of our world's musical history back from oblivion is special indeed. to say it plays and sounds great is an understatement: but it certianly does! My favorite Brad? Well, this is certainly one of them!

That's Wayne Henderson, Me, Don Wilson, and the '48 Martin D-28.

I'll bring this to the next gathering/tour that I am able to attend so everyone can see, hear, and play it for themselves.

A real beauty, Mike. You really scored on this one, and it is wonderful to have resources nearby to bring it back to life. Take of it, friend, as well as you and your family.
