| Only 2 days left, how did we miss this one? Looks like an original owner, first-time seller. Nice guitar. I'm curious exactly what electronics were changed. Only the saddle pickup or the entire preamp? I'm not familiar with the stereo model electronics. |

Location: Wooster, Ohio | No feedback? I bought a guitar this month from someone who had no feedback and got a great deal. My guy was 6 hours away and I drove to pick it up and hand deliver the payment. If you are close enough to this sale to do this you may get a deal because not that many people will send a large check to someone with no feedback, I certainly wouldn't

Location: Lebanon, TN | Agreed. I am always suspicious of '0' rated sellers with high dollar items up. Anyone coming to eBay to sell for the very first time with an item worth hundreds without having any history of even buying a CD is worthy of a serious 'Caveat Emptor" warning.
Having just had some a$$ hijack my account and try to leverage my hard ewarned 132/100% rating to sell non-existant handbags and five of my sales offered up through scam artists offering up second chance offers I am particularly sensitive on the subject. By all means contemplate buying but be very prepared to see this as a wild roll of the dice.
The pictures are very beautiful though. |

Location: East Wenatchee, WA | Go in and buy some things you would buy anyway (from reputable sellers of course) using paypal. Strings, cords, other items around your house. There are deals but you need to watch yourself as you can get burnt too.
Most will allow for 5 feedback items. Make sure the seller leaves feedback and follow up if they don't.
It doesn't take long or much money.
When you sell, however, you will be at a disadvantage until you get some history built up, especially on big ticket items....patience grasshopper. |

| I heard from the seller, he said the original preamp is fine, just the saddle was replaced. So far he seems legit to me, but some other members could contact him, see what they think..if i lived close i would definitely check it out, it'd be a cool to see/play a vintage 1537 up close and personal.. |

| So, as I understand it the 1537 was never produced as a mono guitar?.. |

Once you have the tracks down its easy to adjust the spatial seperation. If you play a lead track over a rhythm track, you can either open up the middle for the lead or wrap the lead around the rhythm and end up with quite different effects. It gives you alot more to work with when mixing. |

I've had a running discussion with the seller and he believes that it is worth more than $700 he started at. It all depends on how bad or how big a hurry he is in to sell. Given his 0 feedback status, he is not likely to garner much interest. I'm about 125 miles from him and am tempted to roadtrip for the hand off. No risk for either party that way.
Given recent EBay history, he is about average for sellers with decent feedback. He'll have to drop a bit to get more interest. |

Location: Wooster, Ohio | I drove 325 miles one way to get my guitar from a ebayer with no feedback this month. Took me all day but was the best trip I ever made for a guitar. Turn out to be a treasure and a absolute bargain. Would never have bought the guitar without a hand to hand exchange. About 4 years ago a similar trip saved me about $1000 as the guitar I went to pick up was trashed and the fussy pictures and descriptions were meant to mislead.
