Yup-the one I bought from Samova. Trying to pay some GAS bills, so this one goes up for $1399 plus shipping. ($45 in USA mainland, $125 anywhere else to registered OFC members)Paypal or USPS money orders only.

The short story is there were about 50 of this color made. I can place about 6 or 7 and all are OFC'ers or get paychecks from the mothership. I have only seen one come up for sale on ebay in two years. It went for over $1400. I would be surprised if to many other Blue breadwinners showed up ever..
This comes with original case. The guitar is mint, except for paint rubbed away on two small spots on neck (It was that way when Sam sold it to me and maybe the way he got it from factory too)). It is like looking into a time machine, right back to 1973. Low serial #.
Ovation electrics are way underappreciated. And this one is one of the rarer electrics made. This one is for you...

Mike, you're right about the last 2 years. But in early 2004 one was on ebay with BIN of $750. Go figure. I remember because this was right about the time I was buying my Deacon from Samova, and he couldn't believe it went so low. Most of us won't ever see one in person. I was fortunate to see yours (before it was yours).

This freak of nature won't be repeated again. Let's keep this treasure in the family, guys.

Anyone who is interested in a guitar that will retain it's value and continue upward through the years, here ya go. Blue is not my color for a hard body but it is the rarity of this color that will always drive it's price. These American Made Ovation solids have finally become more widely accepted into guitar collections, And with some help, originally from the collectors right in here, the prices have doubled in just the time I started looking for one, since last year. Glad I found one and one such as it is.

I am waiting for some famous musician to bring one out on stage for fun....and it's bound to happen.....then watch the market boom!

That would be fun. I'm with you... I passed on the blue model because I was intending to play my guitar, and didn't really want to be seen playing a baby blue battle axe.
