Hate to interrupt, but were they made in the "-1" finish?

You don't see sunburst ones very often. Maybe 200:1 natural to sunburst. If it were me I'd buy a natural one with lacquer cracks cheap and pay to have it refinished in sunburst. It'll probably cost you the same total as a sunburst one and save you 3 years time. Dave

You have exceeded the maximum number of folklores allowed to one person/household. Please mail the best one to our firm, and we can avoid litigation.
Thank you,
Duwee, Sueim, and Howe.

Jim - I'm wearing one of your lawfirms shirts as we speak..

It says Dewey, Cheetham and Howe.

Given to me by a salesman (of course) that I used to work with.

thanks for the advice dave will go down that route i think. i already own a 1114 folklore in natural but has a couple of bad cracks in the lower bout how do you think i could go about getting this re finished or the whole top replaced, do you have to ship back to ovation to do this or would a lutier nearer my shores would be better suited and cost effective. cheers gary.

You might do a search on this board for factory repairs. I think Mitchrx and Seesquare have had cracked tops repaired by the factory. If the cracks are into the wood, they will probably show up slightly through the new finish. They also do the best sunbursts, so as Dave suggested, if you really want a sunburst finish, send the 1114 that you have in and have it fixed and refinished in sunburst. The sunburst may disguise the repaired cracks better than a natural finish.
