Location: Utah | First of all, is it poor form to mention auctions here? I have nothing to do with the seller and am not bidding.
Anyhow, there is a 6751LX on the 'bay for what looks like a very good price.
What is this thing? It says 6751LX, but is there such a thing? It has the OpPro not the Op30, so it doesn't seem to be a plain 6751. Several web stores list a 6751LX just like this one, but the O website only lists the 12 string as a 6751 non-LX with the Op30, or a 6756LX with the OpPro. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I don't think it's poor form per se. Everyone here knows how to do an ebay search, so there's no need to replicate the entire ebay database. But if someone spots a unique Ovation or an especially good deal, I think it's a nice service to the members to post it here in case someone might overlook it. We should put them in the For Sale section so members can skip that if they want to. I posted one today that I saw that was somewhat unique (and a good deal) because it was a demo model. I think that's the kind of stuff to post. Dave |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | FlySig, yes, there IS a 6751LX 12-string.....despite not showing up on Ovation's website, it has been available since around last spring....and it has an OP-Pro pre-amp. I've seen many of them at Guitar Center, and they sound and play wonderfully.

| Several guitar manufacturer seem to have problems updating their products on their websites. Why wouldn't you place it on your site asap? Do you not want info about your products in the hands of the consumer? |

I have been to Victor Litz music, they are a brick and mortar real store and have been in business a long time. They seem to do well on buying closeouts and such. This is not a closeout (I don't think). But it is a great deal.
I was playing mine last night. Very low action, very smooth response. I need to up the string guage slightly as it is TOO easy to play (it plays closer to Ric then an acoustic 12 string) and I'd like a little more bass. Someone is going to get a fantastic deal. |

Yeah, I paid a bit more then that and stil fell like it was worth it.
It is a very easy to play, smooth well balanced 12 string.
I'd pay that for it tomorrow! |

OVATION 6751LX LX 12 STRING
It does look like a good deal. I read it as a preowned guitar in new condition with a "full Litz warranty". Find out what a Litz warranty is so you know your exposure up front. Maybe ask if the guitar was an FRG. When you get the guitar, check it out thoroughly. No problems now will probably mean no problems later and lack of a Factory Warranty won't make a difference.
Many eBay sellers (I don't know about this one) rely on a buyer's reluctance to return an item "not as described" because they say the buyer should pay for return shipping and they will not refund the original shipping (that's about 100 bucks when it comes to a guitar). Cover your butt by paying with payPal funded by your credit card. If the item is "not as described" and the seller wants you to incur any costs, just contact your credit card. Most credit cards will get you all your money back and request that the seller retrieve their merchandise. |

I beleive they are an authorized dealer (both B&M and internet) so there should be some decent backup. OTOH, I do recall visiting and they had a nice FRG hanging up high, that when I took it down, was completely unplayable.
This morning I tried to find their return policy and in a quick look only found things about bidding.
It's a great price, but only if the guitar plays well. And the only way to tell that is to live with it a bit. Too bad you don't live near D.C. |
