Hey folks - First of all is anyone bidding on the green 1751 12er up on eBay?
http://cgi.ebay.com/American-made-Ovation-Balladeer-12-string_W0QQi...

I'm not too familiar with the 1751, and the O site just says it's a deep Balladeer & not much else. Anyone ever play or own one? The bid's kinda low, & if no one here's trying for it, and most people think it's a decent 12er, I just might give it a go.

I played one once and really enjoyed it. However, if I remember correctly, this is a deep body guitar, not a mid depth like the ad claims. Personally, I prefer the deep bodies but I don't play on stage. I'm just a hack that plays for fun with friends.

Definitely deep body, according to the Ovation site. I don't mind the deeps, got used to it years ago with my Matrix. If I can convince Mrs. G8R this might be my next O. :)

I just got one recently at Guitar Center. They wanted $399 for it, but my contact there took $100 off because it was his last day working there. It's a decent 12, but nothing too fancy. Mine still sounds a little tight, like it hasn't been played much.
I don't think I'd get any 12 without a deep bowl because otherwise they sound too bright for me.
