Location: Palacios, Texas | Well guys, After alot of thinking, I have decided to put up my 1112 Custom Balladeer in sunburst for trade. I purchased in late 1978, the guitar is in great shape for the age. Neck to true, action is good, no buzzing, frets have very little wear, top is not pulling or cracked. Have OHSC but it shows alot of wear, but works.
Here are the specs....
1112 Custom Balladeer Ser#167338
Body...Deep Bowl
Top....Stika Spruce A
Bracing...Ovation Modified X
14 frets
Scale....25 1/4
fretboard....Ebony
Bridge....Walnut
Nutwidth....1 11/16"
Machines....Deluxe Crome
Would Rate guitar at 90% or better
I am looking for another acoustic, shallow or medium bowl, or standard dread or 000 size dread, might be interested in a hollowbody elec also, would pefer Ovation, but I am open to just about any brand as long as it plays well.
If you read my other post, you will understand why I am looking to trade my baby off.
I can email pics to anyone interested, I cant seem to get them to work here.
Thanks in advance
Bill

Location: Upper Left USA | Hey Wildbill,
Those are nice early players. I have a similar 1112 and it is set up for fingerstyle. Generally it is hard to get more than $300 for them. Very unapreciated.
I'd hang on to it and save toward the next instrument. There are a lot of nice ones for under $500. |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | I'd help you out, but all I have is an 1127-4, with some wear, but playable (no, guys, it's not Connolly). An artist bowl is not much more shallow than a deep bowl, anyway. Keep an eye out for a used CC257, just to see if a shallow bowl is what you need. Probably could resell it for what you paid.
Actually, what you want is an 1861, or something close, as they are shallow, also. |

Location: ranson, wva | that reminds me of a few ssbs for sale. mike(crimsonlake) has 2 cs257's he was looking to get rid of. it might be worth checking out. if you could find one, a 1567 legend is a wonderfull ssb...jason |

Location: Marlton, NJ | I just received Bill's 1112 - I'm letting it "acclimate" in the box until tonight - then I'll post a report and pics.
BTW - my wife was outside when the mailwoman dropped it off... all of a sudden I hear the doorbell ring about 80 straight times - I thought that she leaned it up against the doorbell. It was my wife in her own special little way letting me know her feelings about another guitar showing up. I had to remind her that she already had all of the details... sheesh! |

Location: Palacios, Texas | Glad to hear that the 1112 made it. I cant wait to hear your report. I think you will be impressed with the condition and sound of a 29 year old guitar.
My wife acted in the same manner when I received the guitar from you. Must be a woman thing :D
Take it easy
