Bowl Classic

Looks to me to be a replaced bridge, rosette and tuners. Or is that some of the early stuff?

Pretty certain that the first nylon string came out in '67. Temp's right. This guitar is all original.

And look who's got the opening bid. Gotta admit - he does watch this stuff pretty closely.

These are nice. Neck like a baseball bat, but very nice sounding. It's all original.

Yeah D-Zilla, my thoughts exactly! I looked at the tuners, and thought "Y'know, if I was trying to sell this, I'd like people to think I tried to take care of it!"

So I like totally suck at recognizing early Kaman when the unfocused pictures are right under my nose. I don't have the funds but it would be a great piece of history.

It's got a long run ahead. Will be interesting to see what the reserve is, and ultimate bid.
Side bets, anyone?

I bow to The Master. Probably pretty close. And, out of reach of this Bottomfeeder. Quite a relic, though. I think the reserve is more like $500.00. I surmise the seller knows what he/she is offering.

well... I can tell you it's over $450 which is my current high bid... looks like an excellent candidate for a mothership freshening... as soon as the 2985 is restored and sent back, I think I'm gonna send a couple of others up.

arrived yesterday, thanks Jason. they were a perfect fit.. just got back from Brett's shop, he's shooting color on the UKXII, and I brought him a stencil of a Bluebird which is close to the original...

the last coats of lacquer are going on the viperIII over the next couple of days.. both should be complete by the end of the month.

Thanks again,

Glenn

I don't know. I sold an identical guitar in way better condition for $600. a few years ago. The zig-zag rosette is nice. Dave

As determined by Mr. Temp, all original and the crack is no biggie. Nylons don't pull very nuch. It should be fixed but the top NOT replaced.
