Location: Brighty in Blighty | Removed a shim, new strings (agh I hate Elixars), wax, polish, and oiled, new strings, added a shim and a load of playing...
YES, it produces some lurvy tones, tried my Open C, D, E tunings, DADGAD, dropped D, double dropped D and regular. Happily takes it all. It really seems to have a sweet angelic, singing voice and makes you play with more accuracy and control.
Thanks to all the OFCs that made me do it.
Now a Ebony fingerboard Adamas - hmm.... |

"have you noticed inside the bowl is attached with wood curfing (curfling- i forget what it is technically called). I believe you have the only 1537 attached that way. Most other bowls are attached with glue"
not too sure what this means and whether its a good or bad thing. I do know this though, the more I play it the more I like it, getting used to it's character, it really is a lovely warm woody sound and sometimes just produces a kind of angelic note or two... |

Would be honoured to be included in the calendar! |

There is NO WAY that England has skies that blue! It's a backdrop just like the studio produced lunar landing debacle.
dweez, seriously, that's a beaut captured with some great pics! Play that puppy...
BTW, I hoped you enjoyed your day of spring. Just think, both days of summer are just around the corner... |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I intend to check the wood-topped Adamas prototype tonight to see if it has a similar top attachment design. It looks very similar to a 1537 except it has a super shallow bowl and, of course, an Adamas headstock. It appears to be the prototype for the 1537 which came out a year later, but with a deep bowl and an Ovation headstock. The wood tops on these beauties have aged wonderfully. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | Yep, the '82 Adamas wood top proto has the same wood attachment system inside the bowl as that depicted in Fred's photo. None of my other Adamai have this. I thought maybe the 1547 proto might also have this system, but it does not. |

I like my O's simple and that one just sings to me. I look at my 1768 which I love, (pre 'book' - no bling) and yours just makes me want to take a router to the purfling and cut the white plastic off. After looking at yours, the white on mine stands out like dogs balls. |

But the 1537 has shredded them! Damn that thing is good.
Looking forward to the arrival of the Adamas :) And I have been pretty good, 2 of my guitars are on Ebay and a 3rd and 4th are soon to join them. |

I might get it out today and show it the respect it deserves. I would be unhappy to part with it as it's a killer but if it isn't going to get an love then perhaps yes...
I need to get some pics of it to show y'all as it's a Koa fest. |
