Just something for y'all to look at on a whim. It's not the guitar (although someone might want it)... This guy gives his life story in the description. Or at least a short story.

Seems like he went to a hell of a lot of trouble to find the one Ovation he likes. And now he's selling it. Go figure.

After owning a Legend, an Anniversary Edition and an Elite, he finally found the 'bass' he was looking for in a shallow body Celebrity?!?

His defination of "bass" and his ears may be very different than yours. It's just a matter of what he (or anyone else) perceives as "the" sound. We all have differently calibrated scales.

I go through this with Moody all the time. He is NOT impressed with the sound of some of my guitars. I'll pick up and strum something else and he says "WOW". And I'm thinkin' "Are you f&cking nuts?". Different scales.

If this ebay guy found his love of bass in a SS Celeb, so be it. At least it's in the Kaman family. What still puzzles me is why after all this BS is he selling the guitar. And WHO in the world has time to write out such a elaborate ebay posting.

Kinda make you feel guilty about buying it from him, since he finally found the love of his life.

I'd venture to say, where Moody's concerned, this is rather common.

Hmmm.... "what if" the seller is telling the truth. I mean, just "what if." We all know the guitar is a Celebrity -- it is what it is. Perhaps, this just "might" be the diamond in the rough, sound and tone-wise, despite the construction, materials, and Made in Korea label?

That puzzles me too Dave. If he loves the guitar very much, why the hell is he selling it hmmm... ?

I wonder if he wrote the review from Harmony Central that he quotes.

This guy's got a great career ahead of him as a carnival barker.
