Location: SoCal | This is kinda off topic, but when you consider that ol' GC was the one to expose us to Ovations, not that O.T.
I've got an opportunity to submit guitar questions to Glen Campbell and get some answers. Is there anything music/gear wise that you would want to know? Shoot me an email with your questions and I'll see what I can do to get an answer. This should come to fruition by the end of the month but I need your questions by the 20th.
This is an honest effort so do just send me nonsense (Clifford!).
Thanks |

I don't have any questions for him, but have fond memories of (being young and) hearing 'Wichita Lineman' on the (AM!) radio. |

| Where have all the Bluebirds gone?
I've heard there may have been as many as 12 produced but only 5 or 6 are accounted for fully intact. and I have one of the 12-string necks being re-cycled into another guitar and the only one I've seen with a Blue peghead.
Thanks,
Glenn |

| Serious questions for Mr. Campbell:
1. What happened to the new Jimmy Webb project?
2. When will you release an instrumental album?
Thanks for this opportunity...

As him if he uses his 6th string in his special open C tuning that he recorded "Ocean In His Eyes" and Hoyt Axton's "Sweet Fantasy" with, or does he just take it off like Keith Richards in his famous open G tuning?
....Or maybe you know the answer to this question? :D |

And thank him for me! I'd bet money that Glen is about as computer literate as my cat. He doesn't time for this foolishness! :-) |

1. Is his Viper used on stage off the shelf? The Hamer 12 and Strat are reportedly both from the Custom Shop.
2. I know he played some sessions for the Beach Boys and Jan and Dean. Did he also do any vocals on the recordings? |

I have also completely turned over a golf CART on to myself when I was completely sober.
Next question. |

Bobbo, those are good questions. I'm writing a lot of these down. |

Location: SoCal | Actually, I do know that. On his music show in 1982, he did Ocean In His Eyes on an Adamas II 12 string in open C tuning. About 20 years ago, I had that whole tune figured out in open C. But I never played it as that was too high for me to sing. It's gone, gone, gone now & crying won't bring it back... |

Hey Paul, I figured you knew about the C tuning. LOL! Does he take the low E off? You sure as hell don't need it. |
